August 6, 2012 – Memphis, Tennessee
Today, I slept in and had a late breakfast. I needed to get out of the hotel room so I did a little driving around. I happened upon Theatre Memphis which had some wonderful sculptures on their grounds. Across the street from there was the Cancer Survivors Park. There were several nice sculptures there as well.
The extended warranty folks came to look at the coach today and will pay about half of what it costs to get the work done. The difference is mostly in the labor charges as they will not pay the hourly rate charged by the garage. They also wanted to use some off brand parts. I decided to pay the difference and use genuine GM parts. The coach will be ready tomorrow by early afternoon. I’ll probably just stay in the general area as I need to think about where I’m going next, and it will be too late to start out very far. The campground where I stayed the 1st night I had the coach is only about 20 miles from the garage so I’ll just go there tomorrow night. It will be really, really good to get back into my home.
This afternoon, I took a nap and did some reading.
That’s it for today. Nothing exciting to report on.
