It had rained a lot and the lake was rising. We watched it everyday to make sure we could get out. Luckily for us, we left just before the water would have crossed the road we needed to get out.
One day we had this huge crab/shrimp boil. We went to the grocery store, the three families and we bought king crab legs, the largest shrimp we ever saw, potatoes, seasoning, butter, carrots, yellow onions, red onions, corn on the cob, and cocktail sauce. When we got to the register, the total was $280. Wes has this huge boiling pot and we cooked all the ingredients in it (butter was for dipping crab meat), then he drained and dumped it all on the kitchen table and we feasted. We had enough left over for a meal the next day. Not only did it taste good, but it was fun. The shrimp were the biggest I have ever seen, not a one under 4".
