|We arrived in Ely about 5pm on Wednesday without incident. The skies were clear all the way and we made only one stop to stretch our legs. I actually drove for about 3/4 of the trip and my honey took a much needed nap. The temperature continued to drop as we got closer and closer. Did you know that Ely is sometimes the coldest city in the nation, well, at least on some days. It was 10 degrees last night about 11pm! That's why Mom winter's in Mesquite with sister Joyce. And speaking of Mom, Onyx just could not figure out where she was. She searched the house thoroughly when we arrived looking for her & Mandy!
Larry spent yesterday going through our stack of mail & opening packages. Mom's computer was basically crashed, everything was corrupted. It took me hours to take it back to factory settings & reload everything but it's doing ok now. Wow, it was a lot of work. She loves to play in Pogo & Cashbreak so she'll be happy when I deliver it to her shortly.
Today we are going to search through our boxes and find a few needed items. The recessed lights in our rig occasionally go out & you can't replace just the ballast. Frustrating that you have to buy a whole new fixture, especially at $80 or so apiece. I ordered a couple of spares last time to save on the $12.95 shipping cost, and two of them need to be replaced after traveling (bouncing) over 4,000 miles this Fall. The joys of home ownership, right, lol...
The sun is out this morning & it looks like we might get into the mid 30's, so guess I'd better bundle up and get started. Going to put a pot roast in the crockpot first though, it will be mighty good when we're done with our chores. You all have a great day!
