Walking up to the Gap

Cable Beach

Steps down to the Blowholes

The Gap

Whale Chaser of yesteryear

Today the weather was fair so we went to see some of the natural wonders around Albany. First of was Cable Beach which we photographed from the lookout rather than scampering down the wooden stairway.

Then it was the turn of The Gap. I feel old now, the last time I went to the Gap it was on a Watsons bay tram. Very spectacular formation in the grey granite cliffs and as the weather was calm we could walk all over the place…

On to the Blowholes, it was a hike down to see them and a worse hike back up and they weren’t blowing due to the calm seas, BUGGA!

Called in at the Whale World. Too expensive for us pensioners, would have cost $48. I snuck a pic of the whale chaser over the fence….

On the return trip we dropped by the local distillery. An impressive display and even more impressive prices around $200 a bottle. Needless to say we didn’t buy any….

By then it was time for lunch and back to camp in time for afternoon tea….

What are we doing tomorrow? I have to get a haircut first up, I look like a typical welfare case…..
