Greg and Judy towed our trailer to Chanute. Susan and Judy drove the rental car. When we left Tahlequah the lake was nearly over our exit road. Half way to Chanute we stopped and ate some BBQ at our favorite place, JL's in Pryor, OK. Once we arrived we took the trailer over to the service center and dropped it. Then the four us us took a quick trip around the rv park to see who was there. Then it was back to the trailer to spend the night with no hookups.

In the morning NuWa brought the trailer in and I went over my list of repairs with the technician. The we hopped in the car, went to breakfast, and then drove 50 miles south to Coffeyville, KS. This is the town where the Dalton Gang got wiped out by the citizens. The Daltons tried to rob two banks at the same time, but when the left the banks, the citizens opened fire and killed 4 and wounded the youngest Dalton (who servedd 15 year in jail, was released and went straight). We first did a tour of the Dalton Museum that is dedicated to the 4 citizens that died in the shootout. After that we walked the escape route and viewed the location of each bad guys death (marked out on the ground like in CSI). This event was hugely documented with extensive photos. It took place in 1892. Then we went to the cometary and view the gravesites. After that we took a tour of the Brown Mansion. The Browns both died in 1934 (the house was built in 1902. Their daughter took the house and didn't change anything. Later she sold the house to the local historical society without taking anything out of the house. So when you tour it, everything is genuine and in the same location. We had a private tour that took about an hour. The house has four floors, and 20,000 square feet. Needless to say they were quite rich. It was a very good tour.
