From Meteor Crater I drove to Winslow to find a tire shop recommended by an employee at the RV park. I had called the shop for directions but the guy didn't give good directions -- a very common problem -- so I couldn't find them. I drove the full length of their street but didn't see the Dairy Queen he mentioned as a landmark! Just as I was getting ready to call the shop again, I received a call from the tire store in Needles. He suggested that I go to Camping World in Albuquerque to have the repairs completed. He promised to reimburse me for all the expenses relating to this issue.
I called Camping World, only to find out that they don't do that kind of work. The man recommended another place, which was already closed for the day. I'll have to call them first thing tomorrow to see whether they can help me.
I had a strong tail wind all the way to Gallup. It made my driving a little wobbly at times but Daisy didn't have to struggle. My home tonight is at the USA RV Park in Gallup. I had stayed here earlier on my trip and remembered it as being a nice park. It was sprinkling when I arrived.
