IMAX - Virginia, Lucille, Inge and Ginger

Capitol Visitors Center

Capitol Visitors Center 03 - Texas Declaration of Independence

This morning Lucille, Virginia, Inge and Ginger picked me up at my RV site at 11:00 and we went to the Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum. First, we had lunch in the Texas Café. I had a bowl of chicken gumbo with sausage. It was very tasty.

Then we saw the IMAX film, "Legends of Flight" in 3D. It covered the period from the earliest flying machines to the gigantic Boeing 787. It is amazing how much planning and work goes into making one of those behemoths. Very interesting!

From the museum we went to the Capitol Visitors Center, which is located in the historic Texas General Land Office Building (built 1856-57). It features exhibits and films about Capitol and Texas history, free travel information and a gift shop. We were lucky to find a parking space across the street. (www.TexasCapitolVisitorsCenter.com)
