Do you know the way to LA?

We left the Las Vegas area and lots of our money on Sunday and drove into Boulder City to finally give the Airstream a wash. Jeff figures we took 125 pounds off our towing weight.

We didn't want to drive into LA in one day because (1 - it's over 200 miles and (2 - we didn't want to arrive in LA at rush hour. We had found a Passport America park just a little ways out of Barstow called Twin Lakes.

There's actually only one lake, since the other lake dried up, but it's still called Twin Lakes. It was about 7 miles off the interstate but quite quiet and relaxing,

and the weather was really nice. We stayed over an extra day just to enjoy it, but it was out in the middle of NOWHERE!. One evening as we sat outside, a huge flock of buzzards flew over. We didn't think they were after us, but we kept moving just in case.

When the buzzards come back to Hinckley ...

On Tuesday, it will be goodbye to peace and quiet as we hit LA!
