Ahhh, we found the river, actually this is the oxbow.

After nearly a week in Eugene visiting with brothers, sisters, niece's and nephews it's time to move on! On the Road Again ! Leaving Eugene on Hwy 58 East over the mountains to Hwy 97 and North to the Bend area.

This is, we feel, really the first leg of the Alaskan trip. Here at the Thousand Trails Resort of Bend-Sunriver we intend to wash and clean the coach the relax for a day from the busy week we've just spent in Eugene. This is a beautiful area, take a look at the photo's and you'll agree.

In a couple of the photo's you'll notice we got a little snow over the summit of Willamette Pass, Hwy 58, only 5,128 ft but it was snowing when we came through there today. Buddy is as good a new, going up the pass, there's a 6 mile section near the top that is 5-6 percent grade. Buddy did a fine job getting us over the top in fine fashion. The crew at TNT diesel shop in Sparks did a great job getting us put together and on the road with all the confidence we need to take this long trip....
