We drove 286 miles from Blackwater River State Park, FL to Baton Rouge, LA. It was all on I-10/12 so there are just a couple of pictures - not much to see along the interstate. We are really in kind of a high speed mode right now until we reach California as it is areas we have seen before. I know 200-300 miles every two to four days doesn't sound very high speed to many of you but it is for us - we prefer about 50-100 miles a trip!!! :)
We are staying at the Farr Park Equestrian Center and RV Campground not far from the LSU campus. The park is filling up this afternoon as the fans are coming in for tomorrow's Spring Game. We had no idea that was happening this weekend and may make our escape tomorrow a little more difficult but we plan on leaving early so we will see? We have 30 amp hookups, water and a dump station on the way out but we have only hooked up electric and will use our fresh water tank for water and wait to dump until we reach our next stop near Houston. We have good Verizon coverage and a clear shot to the satellite. We didn't do anything here but catch up on a few chores around the Mothership and relax. It stormed last night and really cooled things off today with a high of 61°.
Tomorrow we head for Highlands, TX, just East of Houston where we will spend a couple more nights before heading to San Antonio for a six-day stay to see relatives.
