Rock of Cashel

Blarney Castle

Kissing the Blarney Stone for good luck

View from Kinsale hotel with gift from tour company

Best way to describe today is straight from day 1 of our tour description: Depart Dublin in the morning and travel west to the magical South West. Visit the medieval round tower, chapel, cathedral and castle steeped in 1000 years of history at
The Rock of Cashel. Travel south to one of Europe’s most vibrant counties, Cork. Begin your Cork experience with a kiss of the Blarney Stone and hope for an eternal gift of eloquence. Finish this jam-packed day with a night in West Cork’s stunning harbour town of Kinsale.

Only slight mishap was that the tour company did not have our reservation when we arrived so the had no room on the bus and hired a taxi driver to transport us for the day but by the end of the day, they’d brought a second bus and booked us into an upgraded room overlooking the marina. Alls well that ends well!

All in all a beautiful day with most of the rain falling while we were being transported.
