Arriving at Ft. McDowell RV Park

Sun, 02 Apr: Another short jaunt...

This morning was a lazy day. We had to relocate from RoVer's Roost to Fort McDowell in order to be close to the Mayo Clinic. Bob is scheduled for a procedure tomorrow (Mon) and having the house close to the clinic is a big, big plus. Our problem was that our bed just felt too good to leave...

We finally got our act together sufficiently to get Carpe Diem out of our spot and connect Carpe Dinkum. Following settling our electric bill ($7.34 for eight days) and completing brake, lite, and other safety checks, Bob rolled wheels at 1014.

We left the park and took local roads to Gila Bend Hwy, then Pinal Hwy, I 10 west, AZ 202 east, AZ 101 north, AZ 202 east (it's a loop road, OK?), to AZ 87 (Beeline Hwy) north and Ft. McDowell. Total distance was 72 miles which we completed in 1½ hours with an overall fuel economy of 8⅞ mpg.

We'll be here till Tuesday unless they "find" something. Let's hope they look real hard and don't see anything.
