|Sun, 19 Feb: We had a lazy morning, staying in bed until we wanted to get up rather than getting up for one reason or another. We had to be off the Yuma County Fairgrounds by noon as another group was coming in. But we had until noon to do it.
After a leisurely breakfast we started getting ready to roll and finally did so a few minutes before ten. For once Bailey actually left before us—a first. It was so good to visit with Ray and we really missed Cathie, but she said she had a relaxing weekend at home with the two pups.
Our trip back to Casa Grande was uneventful, all 167 miles of it. As before, we stopped to switch drivers at a rest stop almost exactly half way between Casa Grande and Yuma. We also decided to eat lunch at the same time as it was shortly before noon.
We arrived at RoVers Roost Escapees RV Park at exactly 1400, and Randy got us parked back in our space. In short order we leveled the coach, connected electricity & water, extended the slides, and made ourselves at home. It still amazes us how quickly we transform Carpe from "road" to "home" mode.
Carmen and Domingo arrived back at "the Roost" yesterday. They came over to visit after we'd settled in. It was good hearing of their adventures since we split at Quartzsite in late January. Sandi did a load of laundry and we had a well deserved (and appreciated) happy hour.
This week is pretty open with no hard dates on the calendar. We'll be departing again on Friday for a week in Palm Springs, CA and then back to Yuma for a week at the Gypsy Journal rally.
