We had another beautiful drive today, about 200 miles. We enjoyed driving through Utah and seeing a glimpse of the Canyonlands and Blanding, Utah where we met with Vickie, Betty and Sammy last June. We also saw the La Sal mountain range where Jerry and I drove the snowy scenic drive when we stayed in Moab. We stopped in Moab for lunch, we wanted to go to our favorite Moab Diner, but we could not find a place to park the RV. We ended up at Denny’s and we had to take up a lot of parking spaces to park our RV and car. :-)
Back on the road after lunch we ran into a lot of wind blowing directly at us. This really slowed down the rest of our drive. Jerry was exhausted from fighting the wind, we were happy to arrive in Fruita, Colorado. We will be resting here for a few days before heading out again. The RV Park was full when we arrived, they were really nice and opened up a special group area and let us choose our favorite spot. We got one right on a lake and have been watching Canada geese with their babies swimming around the lake. What a perfect place to relax for a few days. Check back later for more from Colorado.
