A good day for doing the second half of a double century ride (two 160 plus rides in two days!) Today we rode with Jane who is from Ottawa and was somewhat familiar with the complicated route we had to ride. We did go off route for a way but it was an enjoyable ride even if the rain threatened for a good part of the day. Nice lunch stop in Merrickville and on to Ottawa and Carlton University where we were billeted for the next two nights. We have excellent accommodations at the student dorms and that made for some happy folks. The staff brought in pizza, not my favorite meal after riding a century ride but it did get washed down with a cold beer and that made it acceptable.

Then it was laundry time so that with that out of the way there was time for other things in Ottawa. Fun things like bike cleaning and more laundry and writing this very late journal and so on!
