Vickie and Sam arrived at the airport early this morning. We were happy to hear about a special festival in Old Town in Albuquerque for the Fiestas de Albuquerque. They were celebrating Albuquerque's 313th birthday and traditions of Albuquerque with live entertainment, live artist demonstrations, local food, shopping, and fun for the whole family.
Vickie and Jerry enjoyed the fried corn on the cob. Sam and I enjoyed talking to the birdman and taking pictures of Sam with the birds. After shopping and watching the Traditional Dances from Jemez Pueblo and taking pictures of the beautiful costumes, we drove home to the RV for a while before heading out again. We went to the Route 66 Casino for their Saturday night all you can eat crab legs. They were absolutely delicious.
We will be doing some exploring during the next few days including a drive to Santa Fe, New Mexico. Check back later for more.
