Utah lakes are quite low this year

Taking so much time in Reno, NV to secure tickets for Israel put us into Salt Lake City so late the capitol visit was another night time foray. What an audacious structure! But the view from the capitol mount is exquisit! The Mormon Temple is just down the hill from the capitol and Ruth couldn't believe that was the temple, she thought the architecture resembled something more familiar to India, but there was the gold graven image of the angel moroni standing on a steeple top.

We spent the night in the city and drove through the beautiful mountains and canyons in the daytime. So much easier to see then! The build-up in the area due to the recent winter olympics is extensive especially around the Park City area. The cottonwoods in the canyons are in the full fall color glory of autumn and were a feast for the eyes!

On to Wyoming!
