Going on a camel ride

I got the fright of my life when it just decided to...

Tourist rules in Pushkar, strictly enforced!

I've been in Pushkar for the last couple of days and before that spent a night in a 300 year old fort (which was pretty funky but very cold). We had a chance to dress up in traditional clothing and I never like to miss an opportunity for fancy dress! So that was alot of fun.

The highlight of Pushkar was my camel ride yesterday out into the desert. I was wearing every longsleeved item of clothing I presently own it was so cold. The camels we nowhere near as smelly or uncomfortable as I had anticipated, just very high! Pushkar has been a really nice place to relax and wander around markets (I bought a sari, no idea when I will ever use it), lounge by the pool (in a scarf and coat). The whole city is alcohol, meat and egg free but we managed to find a little place called the Pink Floyd Cafe which would sell us beer on the sly!

I'm heading back to Delhi this afternoon on the train and have my fingers crossed that it will arrive on time and take no more than the 7 hours its supposed to!
