The Bouchers at Home on the Road travel blog

Good days driving through some pretty high and windy roads from Quesnel (left at 6:45AM) to Oliver, B.C. These were really steep grades that went up and down for miles - truckers here really do stop and check their brakes at the pull-offs designated for that purpose. We're very happy to be in a nice, upscale RV park - 50 amp service and WiFi we can get in the coach for starters :) We haven't been able to keep up with this journal, or our email, with any regularity because of the poor internet accessibility. We were so far north, that the satellite internet service was pretty poor (and the weather didn't help, either). We really noticed the smog as we got closer to the US border today - could be the forest fires down in WA and ID, also could just be plain old civilization. We should be somewhere in Montana tomorrow night, if the border crossing goes well, and we have good roads.

Nizhoni (Girly) will be very glad to get to Maine, and be able to tear around the place unfettered. She ate my cell phone today!! That is very unlike her. Perhaps she is wigging out - if no one hears any more from us, we've been eaten by our dog!
