Last one!

We have been really busy trying to see everything in this area before our month is up. There is so much to see, we wish we had more time here. We spent the last few days exploring the Steamboat Springs area. This update will cover our drive to view a couple of the state parks near Steamboat Springs in the tiny town of Clark.

We were amazed at the beauty of all the ranches in the area. They go for miles with one photographic ranch after another. I never could resist taking pictures of beautiful red barns, green pastures and horses. :-) This area takes the cake for the most scenic ranching area we have visited. I told Jerry I would have to do one update just on the ranches along. I will have to do separate ones on the awesome state parks we visited in the area too.

I could not find a lot of information about the town of Clark, even the sign saying you have entered Clark has a "?" for the population. We did find one store in Clark that serves about everything the town needs, it even had a post office inside. We enjoyed lunch from their deli, they have several sitting areas, we chose the booths that had another incredible view while we had our delicious lunch.

Located seventeen miles north of Steamboat Springs on Routt County Road 129, the Clark Store serves as general store, eatery, coffee house, and community hub for residents of north Routt County. In addition to groceries, sundries and gifts, the building houses a United States Post Office. The Clark Store deli, with a menu designed by celebrated Colorado chef Clyde Nelson, is the jewel in the Clark Store's crown. In summer months the Clark Store sells fresh organic produce grown just up the road at Firefly Farm, and ice cream is served on a deck with tables facing a spectacular view of Sand Mountain to the west.

I will let the pictures taken from this incredible area tell the rest of the story. Check back later for more from our adventures in Colorado.
