This morning, just about the time I finished my chores, it started sprinkling but I soon ran out of the showers. My first stop was at Discount Tires in Round Rock to have the air pressure checked. My two new front tires and the new valve extensions on the rear duals all were fine.
The heavy rain didn’t start until mid-afternoon. The prediction is for this weather to continue over the next few days. Central Texas has had flash flooding for several days but, so far, nothing compared to the disastrous floods in Louisiana.
This morning several of us walked the trail along the river. Because of all the recent rains it was full and running swiftly but in no danger of overflowing.
At our happy hour this afternoon, Mikail was our trivia emcee. Out of the 25 questions relating to the 1940s, I had only 11 correct answers but, even so, I was the winner of a $20 Central Market gift card. I like shopping there, especially for their chef-prepared foods.
Tonight we had dinner at the Hungry Hunter. Our waitress was very efficient and certainly earned her tips.
At our happy hour this afternoon, Mikail again was our trivia emcee. Out of the 30 questions relating to RV travel in the USA, I had 18 correct answers and was the winner this time of a $20 Walmart gift card. Love those gift cards!
Once again intermittent rain was the order of the day. Some of our shopaholics went to a garage sale in spite of the weather. Between showers some of us walked around the perimeter of the RV park and on the trail down to the river. The cooler temperature brought by the rain was refreshing.
