Summer 2013 Travels travel blog

Tuesday: We were up a bit early as we wanted to check out a few things before we left. First up was breakfast. Ancient Cities Cafe was a typical Mom and Pop cowboy cafe. Good food and lots of it, locals with “stuff” on their boots, and the usual round table in back where the ills of the world were being solved. Today it was NFL quarterbacks.

We found the gas station right across the street. The awning over the pumps was a bit low at 11 ft. But they had two pumps out in front of the awning. The best part was the price - $3.15. That's the lowest we've paid all summer.

We went back to the rig and packed and hooked up and headed down the road. We had about 40 miles of Rt60 before we hit I-25 south. There are no big hills, or high drop offs along this road – just pretty rock formations and several old lake beds. Just before we get to I-25 we cross the Rio Grande and then follow it south.

I-25 had little traffic and some beautiful views. The trip was uneventful – which is how we like it. At MM 59 we turned south one mile to the Arrey RV Park. Not a destination park, but good electric, water, dump, laundry room and free Wifi.

Ron took a nap in the afternoon while I did some laundry. He came over just as I was getting the clothes out of the dryer and helped fold and carry the basket back to the MH.

Anyway that is the way our lives have been going. Hope you and yours are well and happy. ENJOY!!
