Today’s solar eclipse didn’t amount to much here in Austin. The moon covered only about 65% of the sun. It started at 11:40 a.m. and ended 2 hours 58 minutes later at 1:09 p.m. Back in the early 1980s in Greensboro, NC, I experienced one that covered quite a bit more of the sun but I don’t remember how much. My company, Gilbarco, set up some equipment in the parking lot for us to view it safely. I enjoyed the experience.
I received some good news from my RV tech this morning. When he called Dometic, my refrigerator’s manufacturer, about the door gaskets, they told him that they would send me two new doors for my refrigerator because the gaskets had failed twice in less than a year. The doors will arrive in about a week. I hope this will solve the problem of rapid, heavy frost buildup in the freezer.
This morning I took some photos to send to Wes so he could see how his place looks while I'm house sitting for him.
