This morning it was raining, sometimes pretty hard, so I waited until it stopped for a few minutes before unhooking my RV. Then I headed to nearby High Point to the Oak Hollow Family Campground and Recreation Complex. It is owned by the City of High Point. There are 116 sites, all with full hookups. It is situated on Oak Hollow Lake and has a nice marina. It also has tennis courts, two golf courses, a putting green and a swimming pool. Section A, where I'm staying, has lots of trees.
It had stopped raining for a little while by the time I arrived at the campground. I was glad for the break so I could get settled into my site before the rain started again. Because of the rain, I just stayed indoors the rest of the day. I have plenty of reading materials on hand to keep me entertained. I even indulged in a very rare nap this afternoon. I guess the rhythm of the rain falling on my roof hypnotized me.
Tonight Catherine and I ate dinner at IHOP. I brought home half of my omelet. Even so, I waddled out of the restaurant. :>)
