Enrrance to Hells canyon Rv Resort

The marinia

Our parking place on the end complete with Spikes flowers

He even brought his garden seedlings from home!

Its heading for 87 degrees today! Both of the Ac units are running full tilt and the freezer is well stocked with ice. We cleaned out the ice bin from our refer at home. In case you don't know...our refer at home has a "name". Her name is Mona, because she moans and sounds like she is giving birth every time she makes an ice cube. Spike thinks I'm crazy, as he can't hear it, but its the truth. (He said no one else can hear it but me). I guess I need witnesses, with good hearing. And Since we cleaned out the ice bin, she will have lots of work to do in our absence.

Miss Zoey did not sleep much yesterday on the bumpy rural road into Clarkston. Everything in the frig got really bounced around and every cupboard had projectiles ready to smack you when you opened the cupboard doors. We went across a very narrow bridge called Lyons ferry, it was a historic bridge (a polite way of saying "old") and maybe a lane and 1/2 wide. We met another car on it, thankfully a small SUV, and we were able to pass Ok. But my nerves of steel husband said "We aren't going back this way!". We were trying to avoid some road construction on 26. He has already chosen a different route to get us home!

This is a nice RV park right on the river. Zoey and I had a nice walk late this morning after she caught up on her sleep. We are on the opposite end of the park, so there is some road noise. It has a nice marina too. Only $10 a night to moor your boat if you are staying here at the park. Looks like there is a lot of guide boat fishing here too. Wednesday we are taking a jet boat ride (with our Newmar buddies) up Hells canyon. That should be fun and hopefully cool as it will be in the 90's here. Lunch is provided and they stop to let you swim and walk around. It will be about a 5 hour round trip.

Last night was the meet and greet for the Newmar rally, and a volunteer sign up sheet. This afternoon is an ice cream social at 1500 and a potluck at 1800. We are bringing Lasagna that I made at home, and froze. So I will have to cook that for an hour before the potluck. Its been awhile since I made Lasagna, so I did a dry run last week to make sure it tasted OK. Spike says they never seem to have enough hot dishes at potlucks, so it was his idea to bring it.

And as a footnote...Yes, I got to talk to my buddy Punjab from dish network last night. I had to turn the satellite receiver back on as we had some issues with the cable TV here. It took a couple of phone calls to get TV, so the normal frustration level was met!
