Adam and Katie's great adventure 2017 travel blog

Adam looking professional?

Today we got the boat across to a little island called Waiheke 45 minutes from Auckland. As the weather forecast was meant to be wet we decided to visit one of the many winery's on Waiheke.

We choose Obsidian Winery which was a bus ride to the opposite side of the island. Obsidian was a beautiful little winery surrounded by the vineyards where they grow the grapes. The weather turned out to be dry and a lot warmer than what we were used to so we picked a table outside.

You get to taste four wines that are made at the winery and the lady talks you through the flavours you should taste along with a bit of background. If I'm honest you could not taste any thing she had described. We even got some free cheese, crackers and olives as one table had left early and not finished them.
