Hurricane Harvey made landfall last Friday night near Rockport and Corpus Christi. He brought strong winds and heavy rains as far inland as the Austin and San Antonio areas. Flash flooding is the major danger here. The only effect I’ve seen so far is an overturned large pot in Wes’ back garden. I’ll have to get someone to help me set it back up. I’ve also seen some broken tree limbs around the neighborhood but no other damage.
I was happy to learn that my brother in Houston and our cousin in The Woodlands are safe. They didn’t have to evacuate but some of my RV buds had to leave. Several of them are still in Colorado, where they’ve been for most of the summer, but the ones with houses near the coast may have some problems. We’re still keeping an eye on the weather forecast.
