Carpe Diem and Carpe Dinkum at RoVer's Roost

Flyover from Loop 202 to I 10 South

Big Brother is watching everyone!

Welcome to RoVer's Roost

The "Roost" is pretty empty in the "hot season"

Thu, 18 Aug: Heading to our "Home Base"...

Today we head "home", to our leased lot in Casa Grande. While we are truly full-timers, e.g., we have no "stick home", we do have a home base which is a leased lot in Casa Grande. This is in a cooperative RV park and gives us a place to call "home" even if it is little more than a flat piece of land.

Bob was still feeling a bit under the weather as a result of the meds he is taking so Sandi did the driving. Once thru our checklists we pulled out of our site at Eagle View and hooked up the car. Brake and lite tests complete we rolled wheels at 0912.

From the RV park we pulled onto AZ 87 south to loop 202 west, and then to loop 101 south to (again) loop 202 west to Interstate 10. Interstate 10 east to Casa Grande where we exited onto AZ 387 south to AZ 84 west to Montgomery Road south to RoVer's Roost. We arrived at 1041 driving 72 miles with an overall fuel economy of 7⅞ mpg.

We'll be here till next Wednesday when we head back to the Phoenix area for our chassis' annual service. We expect that will take two days, after which we'll return here till after Labor Day.
