Our trip from Palo Duro Canyon State Park, TX to Albuquerque, NM was 330 miles, mostly on I-40. With the exception of a few short stretches, the road was very good. Once we got into New Mexico we were up and down hills reaching a maximum altitude of about 7,100 feet soon after Clines Corners. We did see the largest wind farm we have seen. It covered the area north of the highway for about 40 miles. There must have been over a thousand windmills but we didn't count!
We are staying at the High Desert RV Park a little west of Albuquerque. It is a nice park with mostly pull-throughs. We have a 50 amp full hookup site with free, slow Tengonet, a good Verizon signal and a straight shot to the satellite.
We head for Homolovi State Park near Winslow, AZ tomorrow for another one night stay.
