Tonight I went on the CARE bus to the Crighton Theatre in Conroe, to see a performance of Wendy Kesselman’s new adaptation of “The Diary of Anne Frank”. It was nominated for a Tony when it first opened on Broadway and it includes information from the 1991 re-release of Anne’s diary. The girl who played Anne Frank is only 13 years old, the same age as Anne was when she began writing in her diary. It was very well done. It is sobering to think of how brutal some people can be to their fellow human beings; such atrocities didn’t begin with the Holocaust and they haven’t ended.
