Today several nagging issues were resolved, so I’m a much happier camper. I had been trying for over three weeks to get an appointment at an RV dealer’s shop to have my black water tank’s valve replaced. They were backed up for 2-3 weeks due, in large part, to hurricane victims’ needs. Finally, my favorite mobile RV tech agreed to do the job for me. He had to come back to install new doors on my refrigerator anyway. My extended warranty company paid for some of the parts and labor.
Another “biggie” was finally getting a space in Lone Star RV Resort in Austin. Since June I had been on the waiting list with them, as well as about a dozen or so other RV parks. No one had a vacancy. Finally, Lone Star came through! I’ll settle into my new space on September 24. The timing is perfect. I’ll finish house sitting for Wes Spradley on September 21, the day that our Cen-Tex rally in Fredericksburg begins. Then I’ll go directly from Fredericksburg to Lone Star.
