The Aston at Jose's garage

Poinsettias Shop

Lunch Stop

Scenery approaching Ibague

We had the morning off in Bogota. Robin spent it at one of our Colombian friend's garage checking the Aston after yesterday's rattle. We left late morning. The exit from Bogota was not too bad as Stuart had done some excellent research. We just went slowly and carefully and, luckily, did not miss a junction.

The early part of the drive should have been beautiful but we were in the cloud so missed the scenery in the gorges through which we drove. There were some sandy hills early in the drive which were covered in grass and had grazing cattle. We have seen similar since quite a few times. The road was beautiful, quite wide and no pot holes which is a great relief after yesterday!
