This morning I drove back to Greensboro to spend the week end with the Tate family. We used to attend the same church in Greensboro. I often think of the times when I went hiking in the mountains with them and how I always had such a great time. Allen loves photography, too, and knows where many good places for photography are.
They have a very nice house just outside Greensboro now -- in Guilford County. They let me park Daisy in their driveway, which was very convenient.
Allen helped me find a new house battery and installed it for me. It is a Sears Diehard Platinum Marine battery with a three-year full replacement warranty. It is quite a bit larger and more powerful than the old battery. It is so heavy that Allen could barely lift it up to the battery compartment. I would never have been able to do it myself. He also replaced a rear light, greased several places and added some oil. I deeply appreciated it.
This morning I went to Sunday school and church with them and then to lunch at a Japanese restaurant. We had a very attentive waitress and the food was good. I had two bowls of their soup before the main course! We spent the rest of the day at their house just visiting. It's so nice to be able to just kick back with friends.
