|A quick post to let you all know that we are in Ely, Nevada. We arrived Friday without mishap. As you know I was a bit concerned about breaking down the rig, hooking it up & resetting it up here. But I did it!!! Yay, I'm pretty darn proud of myself. I've helped Larry with the outside 'chores' over the past 5 years but this was the first attempt at doing it 'all' for me.
It was good to see Mom & Lori again. And I was grateful that Marion was here when we arrived to help me unload the boat, inversion table, heavy boxes of clothing etc, etc, etc...I got the slides out and the power and water hooked up just before dark. I don't know why, but the tv locked on to the satellite dish just fine but no internet. It just would not lock on. And then last night the snow arrived, knocking the tv out as well. As a matter of fact, it has snowed all day long & is snowing as I write this at 10:20pm...ughh! There is about 8 inches stacked on the roof of both the truck & the 5'er.
My honey is staying in the house. It is just not feasible for him to deal with his cast, the crutches, the stairs & the snow to boot! I make a dozen trips a day back & forth as I try to prepare his meals, fetch the things we needs and 'wait' on him in general. But I'm trying to clean out cupboards & drawers while we are here. It's definitely time to lighten our load. If we haven't used it in the past year, out it goes. Sure hope the weather straightens out quickly. It's not much fun sloshing in from the falling snow as I trek in & out. We left 90 degree weather two days ago so the 40 degree daytime & 20 degree nighttime temps are quite the shock to the system, lol!
Well, I didn't mean for this to be quite this long. I took some pretty pics on our way here so will post them soon. I can't load them until I'm able to get online with my own computer and hopefully that will happen shortly. Hope you are all doing well and thanks for stopping by...goodnight.
