We had a great night at the nationally acclaimed Pitchfork Steak Fondue. The chefs load steaks onto pitchforks and fondue them western style. They load several steaks on the prongs and dip them into huge vats of boiling oil. This is definitely a meal with a view. We enjoyed our delicious steaks outside with a view of the picturesque Badlands from the Tjaden Terrace. Your steak comes with all of the fixin's. We had a huge buffet with baked potatoes, baked beans, cole slaw, fresh fruits and vegetables, garlic toast, cinnamon sugar doughnuts, brownies, lemonade, coffee, and water to complete the Fondue experience.
Plus, we enjoyed being serenaded with western melodies performed live by members of The Coal Diggers from the Medora Musical. We had tickets to the Medora Musical after dinner, but it started to rain, so we had to reschedule for later. Don't miss this unique dining experience that was featured on the national television show, Best Of, on The Food Network! We enjoyed every minute of it and highly recommend it to our readers. Check back later for more from Medora.
