Happy Resurrection Day! It's a beautiful day here in Cottonwood, Arizona. About 78 degrees with a light breeze. We attended a very nice Easter service this morning. A young man played 'How Great Thou Art' on the bagpipes and did a nice job. There were plenty of folks in attendance this morning all dressed in their Easter finery. All of the little girls looked so cute in their pretty little dresses. Made us miss and wish we could have been with Lily, Jasmine & Maya. I'm sure their mama's will take plenty of pics to share with us. At least I hope so! Girls, are you reading this??? LOL

After church we changed clothes, ate a bite of lunch and headed down to the lakes on the back of the property here at Dead Horse Ranch State Park. We walked around all three lakes and enjoyed watching the families playing ball, throwing horseshoes, fishing and just being together in general. There were plenty of birds around including one great blue heron and we even encountered a small Common Kingsnake along the way. We noted that at least one of the resident otters is still swimming around but I didn't have my telephoto lens along this time. But, we'll be back, we plan to walk there everyday.

Tomorrow we're going to Sedona for a bit of hiking & a picnic lunch. We plan to get an early start, and based on how hot it is, we might attempt the Devil's Bridge hike again. Either way I know we'll enjoy our day. Sedona is such a beautiful, magical place. One of our favorites. You might remember we honeymooned here in 1985 so it has special meaning for us. Very special indeed....
