Winter 2010 - 2011 travel blog

It has been a great rest and recuperation week. I have done a couple loads of laundry and cooked some meals but that has been about all. We have visited with friends, watched sunrises and sunsets, and just enjoyed life.

Monday we took the MH to the repair shop and I worked at the CCC for my 4 hours.

Tuesday morning we went down to the neighbor's lot for a woodcarving get together. He teaches wood carving and had some people over from Salome. We had a good time looking at what they are carving and just sitting around talking while our hands work. At 11 we went over to the KOFA for our SKP luncheon.

Wednesday, I washed a load of clothes and visited with the neighbors. Then at noon we went to the library so I could shelve books. She asked me if I would rather do my 4 hours in the office and shelve books the same day – so I'm moving all of that to Wednesdays.

That is if the library stays open. Several years ago LaPaz county got into some kind of legal problems. They were sued and owe millions of dollars. On the 24th there will be some kind of binding cost cutting mandated. An outside person will come in and say where they have to cut their budget to pay off this legal obligation. According to the library manager – it looks like the parks and the library are going to be cut. It is a shame 'cause they are needed in this area where there are very few amenities.

Today, we should get the MH back. They think it is an hydraulic booster pump which they have ordered. It is going to be about $250 plus labor. I hope that is what is wrong with it as we want to leave Saturday to go to North Ranch SKP Park for the Woodcarving workshop. If this doesn't fix it – we won't be able to go.

Anyway that is the way our lives have been going. Hope you and yours are well and happy. ENJOY!!
