Durango/Silverton Cowboy Poet Train Ride-all together now...she'll be comin' around the mountain...

Train track right on the edge of the mountain-beautiful Animas River

We were being entertained by one of the cowboys...he was funny!!!

You know Dude and Dudette...friends Max and Jean from Tavares...

We started off our day early on the Durango/Silverton Train. Once a year they have what they call the Cowboy Poets Train Ride from Durango to Cascade Falls. The ride up through the canyon was beautiful, awesome, scary, bumpy, fun and an overall a blast. We met up with some friends (actually David built them a house in Tavares) that will be going to the Balloon Fiesta with us. We did have a fun day. It was a little cool going up the canyon but by the time we got to our picnic area it was warming up. About a dozen different cowboys and girls performed on the train for us and at lunch...GREAT ENTERTAINMENT!
