The top of our engine is missing!

Today is the day that we are personallly keeping Yom Kippur. We understand that many of you are observing a different day, but we are all just doing the best we can, right!? Anyway, I thought I would give you all an update on our mechanics. It seems that we have had a problem for some time that kept looking like something else. There was a valve spring that broke and so one of the valves wasn't working properly. This made it seem to be running rough which several mechanics thought was an ignition problem. As we drove further, one of the push rods got wedged wrong and bent so it ran even worse. Still looked like an ignition problem--new plugs -wires -coil -ignition system--still not running very well. Driving more, the rod really bent and displaced affecting another rod and lifter, now 2 cylinders are not working. Now the hydrolic lifter of the first bad valve sucks down into the intake manifold and the oil pressure goes to nothing and we loose more power, then as the rest of the engine valves start sticking because they are not getting enough oil, we loose even more power and are driving along the side of the road at about 20 miles per hour until I find a wide spot to turn into and check things out. Tow to the mechanic--2 days later, with one part coming in tomorrow morning, we might be on the road to Waco by noon--YHVH willing! Meanwhile, we have set up camp here at the mechanics yard and are playing the harp and flutes, reading the word and passing through Yom Kippur. We'll keep you up to date with the progress as we get going again.

Shalom and may your name be written in the Book of Life. Chag Simeach.
