It has been raining or sprinkling all day today so I stayed indoors. I had some little rainy-day projects to do anyway.
I also called my ophthalmologist in Austin to make an appointment for October 3. It had been so long since I had last seen him – probably five years -- that my record had dropped out of their system. I’m sure I’ll need new contacts. The one in my right eye is from 2000! I had dropped and broken the one with the most recent prescription, so I was thankful that I still had the old one. A distinct advantage of rigid gas permeable lenses over the soft ones is that they last much longer and my eyes don’t change so rapidly.
Next, I called Pecan Grove RV Park in Austin to make reservations for October 2-16. That will be enough time for me to take care of my business and visit some of my friends.
