Larry & Lee Ann's Journey travel blog

Hope you all enjoyed your St Patrick's Day. I did a corned beef brisket, potatoes, cabbage & carrots in the pressure cooker and they came out awesome! I'm finally getting the hang of this digital pressure cooker and enjoying it very much. Sure is nicer than the old traditional stove top model and feels safer to me. I love the cookbook I ordered from Amazon, it has some excellent recipes, a bit different then the norm. Bonnie contributed her homemade lemon meringue pie. It is soooo good. She makes the VERY best lemon filling and crust ever!

They called late this afternoon and my glasses are ready so will pick them up tomorrow. We have a few more errands to do while we're out including picking up a TV to take to Mom this weekend. We're making a trip to Mesquite on Sunday to visit for the day. Our friend Susan is flying in from Sitka, Alaska and we're all planning to go to the Sunday brunch together.

And finally, speaking of Alaska, most of you are aware that our son Jim is a fishing guide on the Kenai River. He has been blessed to take part in several TV shows airing on both ESPN and the Outdoor Channel. He has become very good friends with Trevor Gowdy, host of Monster Fish, and has filmed shows for both trout & salmon. I'm including a link to a Youtube video shot in June 2009, for the Alan Warren Outdoors TV Show.

Our grandson Ryan is also aboard, in fact he is operating the boat. We are so proud of both of them. They are well known in the Soldatna area, so if you are looking for a great fishing guide let us know. We'll hook you up!!!!!
