Today I attended the monthly meeting of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Our speaker was George Bristol, Director of the Texas Coalition of Conservation. He has been active in conservation in various capacities for many years. He was on the board of trustees for the National Park Foundation until 2001, when he moved to his current position. He is working hard to keep the Texas state parks appropriately funded.
On the way home I was behind a car with a funny bumper sticker that read “Pflugerville – Between a rock and a weird place.” (For non-Austin area residents, that’s Round Rock and Austin.)
