Alexander Graham Bell museum in Baddeck, Cape Breton

Another beautiful old family home,. enlarged over the years and decorated for...

Canso Canal, letting ships pass through the Canso Causeway which connects Cape...

We stopped in the morning at the town of Baddeck on Bras d'or Lake (inland sea) where Alexander Graham Bell had a big summer home, and his family still owns it. Parks Canada has created a huge museum about Bell and all his work, inventions, and family, and it was very interesting. Bell did a lot of experiments from this location, including helping develop the Silver Dart, which made Canada's first manned plane flight. We then drove on down to the Canso Causeway and back into mainland Nova Scotia, and on to the Halifax area.
