Arrived in Auckland from Thailand via Hong Kong. Good flight and fantastic reception by John's brother, Gerard and his wife, Mia. Not to mention their adorable son, Ben (still as cute and bouncy as when we last saw him two years ago) and newly arrived Rosemary Amelia (she's beautiful and sleeping through the night already at 3 months old)!
Beer, wine, cheese, home-cooked dinner and ice cream were enjoyed! Fish and Chips the next night and more lovely wine. They knew we'd been missing these foods so THANK YOU! Had a great visit over a few days spent playing with the kids (Ben likes being squirted with the garden hose and Christy was only too happy to oblige!), walking around Devonport and catching up.
We will return in late March for Rosemary's Christening. Drove up the coast for a few days to visit some beaches and enjoyed the New Zealand equivalent of "Car Talk" with "Vet Talk" on the radio. Hilarious calls about cats, sheep, cows, etc. Did we mention the non-stop ads on radio and TV for calf teats, deworming meds, etc?
