Emcee, Peter Reprecht

Carl Perry Playing Native American Flute

Flute Duet by Debra Ruprecht and Glenda Alexander

Helen Crippin Wearing Her White Elephant Gift

Nancy Dopson (Love that shirt!)

All the kitchen staff had the afternoon off, so tonight we had pizza supplied by Russ Johnson, our Director, fried chicken and all the trimmings supplied by volunteers Lee and Diana Moran and other goodies made by some of the residents. It was quite a feast!

After dinner volunteer Peter Ruprecht served as our emcee. He told jokes and gave us quizzes on the Christmas story. No one got all the answers right ā€“ tsk, tsk! We sometimes confused the Biblical version with traditions. Then Carl Perry played a couple of solos on his Native American flutes and Debra Ruprecht and I played a duet on our Native American flutes. Amazingly, no one threw anything at us. :>)

Last, but not least, we exchanged white elephants or other gifts. It was conducted similar to musical chairs. We sat in a circle and passed gifts, sometimes to the right and sometimes to the left, until the music stopped. Afterwards we had the option to trade our gifts with others. Some of us donated ours to CARE Thrift ā€˜nā€™ Gift.
