Carpes at "home" in RoVer's Roost

Picacho Peak between Tucson and Casa Grande

Sat, 25 Mar: Back home again, again...

Today we departed the Pima County Fairgrounds and returned "home". As before we took I 10 west except, before we hopped on I 8 west we continued into Casa Grande for a fuel stop at Sam's Club. We added 37.9 gal of fresh fuel to the tank. The tank had been filled last Sep before we left so fresh fuel is good. Even with stabilizer we like the fresh stuff for our big "gal" Carpe Diem.

When we arrived the fuel station was full, so we took the path of least resistance, parking the coach and doing some shopping inside the store. When we got back to the coach and headed out the fuel station was vacant so we had no problem pulling up to the diesel pumps for a fill-up. Sometimes doing nothing is good...

Then back to I 8 for the dozen mile run to RoVer's Roost. The day's totals were 99 miles with an overall fuel economy of 10.1 mpg.

Sat, 01 Apr: Been a busy week. Doc appts every day except Tues. Two round trips to Scottsdale and the Mayo Clinic for tests and visits. Thus far all appears to be OK, but we still have more to go. Stay tuned...
