Our journey from Woodville, AL to Dandridge, TN covered 212 miles, all of it interstates 24 and 40 once we got out of Alabama and into Tennessee, except for the last 10 miles or so getting to the RV park. There is so much forest on each side of the road there wasn't much worth taking pictures. We did see a Greyhound bus so had to capture it as we usually only see one or two of them or Trailways each summer. There isn't near as many on the road now as there used to be.

We are staying at the Anchor Down RV Resort which is very nice though we don't really see what every one raves about. Yes, some of the sites are exceptional but so are their prices. These sites don't come close to the Bella Terra we stayed at last year and cost at least as much. The 15.75% added on for taxes and "resort fees" just exacerbates the problem by taking their least expensive site from $49.00 to $57.58 after add-ons. They even charge you $5/day to use your own golf cart - I guess they want you to rent theirs for $30/day! We have a full hookup, 50 amp back-in with a nice patio, table and fire pit. No tall trees so the satellite was easily reached and we have great Verizon. We will not do much while here but relax and try to stay out of the heat. It reached 95° right after arriving!

I did make a trip into Sevierville this morning to Bud's Gun Shop to take advantage of their range and punch a few paper holes. It was good to shoot again for the first time in almost a month. I managed to get set up, load magazines, and shoot 50 rounds of 9mm and also 50 of .45, pick up all my brass, clean up and get out in less than 30 minutes lane rental. I have included pictures of my target.

Tomorrow, we make the short trip into Waynesville, NC for our first two-month stay near the Smokies.
