Following Hurricane Matthew - Winter 2017 travel blog

A short drive has brought us to the Freightliner RV facility where we are camped with about twenty other rigs. Sadly, this is not a place where we can get our slide out repaired; it hasn't slid out since we left home. Freightliner manufactured our chassis - the engine and parts that touch the ground. Newmar built the motor home on top of the chassis, so one of their authorized technicians will have to get that slide going again. We are here for a two year check up and as far as we know, have no issues that need to be addressed besides an oil change. Fingers crossed that I won't be writing about something else tomorrow.

Waiting at repair facilities is never fun, but I won't have to wait. My sister lives about forty miles from here so I will leave with the car and get a head start on our family reunion. Can't wait to see her again.
