The view through Winnie's windshield

When we left Green Acres this morning the weather was warm and cloudy. As we drove down I95 we started to pick up some light rain on and off. After passing by Savannah, I decided to head inland to US 301 again to get away from the trucks. Everything was fine until after we stopped for lunch in Hinesville, GA. The heavens opened up and it rained as hard as I’ve ever seen it for the next 3 hours. Several places along US 301 the roadway was flooded. One place I came up on it unexpectedly and the splashing into the engine compartment seemed like it got up into the spark plugs because Winnie started to miss, but things smoothed out as I slowed down. We eventually pulled into a KOA in Starke, FL after dark so no pictures of Winnie at rest. As a matter of fact there are very few pictures today because of the rain. We didn’t get as far as I would have liked so we’ll probably have a long day of travel tomorrow so we can get to Margate, FL where we’ll be staying next week. Hopefully the rain will be gone.
