Our Trip To Western Australia travel blog

The security detail having a nap.....

As I said a nice place, had a drive around today, out to Thevenard and then around to Ceduna Waters estate where large home and land packages with sweeping ocean views are to be had. http://www.cedunawaters.com/ The prices seem elusive for some reason…..Thevenard is a hive of activity with Gypsum, Grain, Salt and Mineral Sands being shipped from there to who knows where. Whatever the mineral sands are they are obviously very heavy and the security around the unloading plant would indicate these are no ordinary sands, a quick Google search leads me to believe that its zircon sand from Jacinth – Ambrosia, the largest deposit of such sands in the world. I wonder if I could sneak in after dark and grab a few bags to use as ballast on the LVET???

After lunch we drove around to Denial Bay famous for something as a lot of the homes there are on the majestic side of normal. Big money in Oysters????

Then a “route march” out to the end of the jetty and back to the van…….

Still 2 days to the SA/WA border and we will leave for the Head of Bight early Monday and overnight at Nullarbor, now just to test whether you have been reading this blog what does Nullarbor mean????

Then on to Eucla, Balladonia, Norseman ( presumably we will be outfitted with horned helmets there, or we could make some from alfoil) Kalgoorlie…..
